Grace and fire - that's what's special about this recoeding to me. The music on this disc sits on a unique balance point between to those two key elements of this "old-time" music. I guess it's not surprising that the two brothers still in their teens might play with youthful fire, but it's the grace that Frank and Max Evans lend to these tunes that tell us we're listening to a couple of very special musical spirits...
