This 26" scale minstrel style banjo truly follows the aesthetics of the antebellum banjos of the past. The neck on this banjo is made of presentation western figured walnut, a highly prized wood often used in rifles. The rim is made of maple and the hardware is handmade from brass. Bone has been used for both the tail piece and nut. The friction style ebony violin pegs are properly fit and turn smoothly. Currently set up with gut strings that are ideally tuned to D or E. Truly a players instrument that is ideal for minstrel stroke style but by far limited to it. Sold. On order.
